◆ という箇所に目が止まったので書き写し、出典を明記したあとで、念のために確認しなおした。そしたら、書名を間違っていたので、訂正した。ワタシはなんと『けだものだもの』とタイプしていたのだった。それはさておき、ジャームッシュの「ダウン・バイ・ロー」。いや、さておいてはいけない。なぜなら、ワタシはこの映画のタイトルも「Down by Law」ではなく「Down by Low」だといまのいままで思っていたのだから。そんな「けだものの私」に「Down by Law」という英語の意味などわかろうはずもないので、他人の力を借りることにする。

◆ 上のいろんな引用を読んだかぎりでは、なんとなく、「臭い飯を食った仲」という日本語が近いんではないかと思ったが、ちょっと違うかな。まあいいや。
